About Me

My life has been a constant see-saw between my left-brain pursuits in engineering / business and my right-brain passion for arts like painting and music. After much contemplation and soul-searching, I decided to pursue my passion full-time, leading me to launch Creative Artonomics - a platform where I can use my creative freedom to share my love for art with fellow wanderlusters and art enthusiasts.

The beauty of life and nature fascinates me, and I strive to capture it in my paintings. My goal is to establish a permanent bond between my art and my audience.

Artist Statement

My artistic journey began with a deep appreciation for realism. Captivated by timeless landscapes and the meticulous style of artists like Raja Ravi Varma, I honed my skills in capturing intricate details. However, a yearning for self-expression led me on a path of exploration.

Gradually, I transitioned away from strict realism, retaining a focus on form while embracing new tools and techniques. Textures and palette knives became my new tools, allowing me to build layers and dimension with the impasto technique. Today, I have found my artistic home in the vibrant world of abstract-textured impressionism. This style allows me to combine acrylics and metallics to create vibrant and expressive artworks that sparks conversations.

Inspiration strikes during my travels and from everyday observations around me. My artwork takes an aspect of the real world and transforms it into abstract interpretations of how I see it. This invites viewers to connect with their own experiences and spark memories of their journeys.

My Creative Process

Often, it's a captivating scene from my travels, or even a hidden gem right under my nose! Once a subject grabs my eye, I dive into exploration. I start by sketching loose and gestural marks on canvas or wood board, experimenting with textures, and color combinations. Acrylics-metallics or oils become my tools, building layers as the piece unfolds - sometimes with brushes, sometimes with palette knives.

The process is often intuitive, sometimes pushing boundaries, as I strive for a perfect harmony between form (what you see) and content (what it evokes). Every finished piece reflects the calming beauty and stories found in the world around us, a celebration of the unique landscapes and cultures that inspire me. I hope my art sparks a similar connection within you, reminding you of the beauty that connects us all.
